Welcome to Talk Canoeing - the new home of Canoeing on the web. The site is currently under development but we are proud to say that the guide to Canoeing is up and available.
Canoeing has gained in popularity in recent years and for those looking to find out more about the sport then please turn your attentions to our guide. Written by Anna Heywood, the guide will provide everything that you needed to know from history to techniques used and some of the important equipment that you'll need before paddling your way away from the shore.
There are many different disciplines of canoeing. From the ultra cool Dragon Boat racing to Marathon racing - if you want to know about them then it's all on the Talk Canoeing guide.
Also on the guide is a close look at Canoeing techniques. Draw strokes, sweep strokes, support strokes, all of them important but so is learning how to cope with a capsize. We have it all covered.
If you are interested in getting started in Canoeing then out that section of the guide which'll point you in the right direction.
